TRAPPED

The pieces were created as an outlet for depressive emotions. I have been with a friend who had surrounded herself with negative energies. We thought it was just a phase, but it wasn’t. I took her to see the doctor, who introduced us to a medical condition called depression. It is one’s battle against oneself. Happiness, anger, miseries, touching sentiments have been sealed into a capsule, pent-up and trapped in a cage, unable to move. You know you need to get happy and relaxed, yet you cannot leave the cage. A second of happiness is overwhelmed by a huge sense of depression. My friend was never cured of depression, but he has learned to cope with it.
